How Effective Branding Can Transform a Company’s Position in the Automotive Industry

Have you ever wondered how strategic marketing can reshape a company’s standing in the automotive sector? How a well-designed website can drive sales, and how branding can highlight and reflect a brand’s unique identity?

We present a case study of AMW Media’s collaboration with Turbo Snail, a Polish wholesaler specialising in the sale of new, used, and reconditioned turbochargers. The project, led by our specialist, Matt, involved a comprehensive approach, including business analysis, rebranding, effective website design, UX/UI optimisation, and social media management—all tailored to automotive industry marketing.

Business Analysis, Target Audience & Branding Strategy in the Automotive Sector

The first step was to understand the business objectives and conduct an in-depth analysis of the turbocharger market in Poland. Together with the business owner, we identified key competitors and assessed the needs and expectations of car workshops and mechanics – Turbo Snail’s main customers.

Based on the collected data, we developed a brand strategy designed to differentiate the company from the competition by adopting a fresh and modern approach to branding, combined with a casual, friendly, and accessible tone of communication.

Rebranding – Graphic Design for a Turbocharger Sales Company

As part of the rebranding process, Matt focused on creating a unique visual identity, unlike anything previously seen in automotive branding. A key element was the design of the brand hero – a dynamic snail symbolising the speed and reliability of Turbo Snail’s turbochargers. Additionally, the visual identity features other snails, each representing a specific section or offering:

  • Speedy Snail – symbolising new turbochargers, highlighting their high performance.
  • Old Snail – representing used turbochargers, emphasising their longevity.
  • Mechanic Snail – illustrating reconditioned turbochargers, a symbol of expertise and precision.
  • Einstein Snail – dedicated to blog posts and knowledge sharing, reflecting expert insights and innovative solutions.

All snails were hand-drawn and then vectorised to maintain consistency and a distinctive brand character.

Additionally, we introduced a distinctive colour palette: pink, blue, and green. Yes, pink—in a predominantly male-driven automotive industry. This choice gave the brand a modern, slightly controversial, yet approachable character, drawing the attention of potential customers.

Designing an Effective Website for the Automotive Industry

The next step was developing a website aligned with the new visual identity, designed to maximise conversions. The website was crafted in a flat design style, prioritising simplicity and functionality, with interactive snail elements guiding users through the entire site.

The development process required meticulous planning of the layout and graphic elements to ensure clarity and intuitive navigation. The website structure includes:

  • Contact information – easily accessible details for quick communication.
  • Turbocharger categories – a clear presentation of the product range.
  • Detailed purchase process – a step-by-step guide to enhance the customer experience.
  • Customer reviews – a dedicated section to build trust in the brand.

The website was also optimised for mobile devices, ensuring a seamless user experience across all platforms. The UX/UI design process focused on creating an intuitive and efficient purchase journey, which led to an increase in conversions.

To improve Turbo Snail’s search engine visibility, we implemented comprehensive on-site SEO optimisation. We refined the heading structure, optimised metadata, and organised content hierarchies effectively. Additionally, we introduced a blog featuring expert knowledge on turbochargers, guides for mechanics, and the latest automotive industry updates. Regularly publishing valuable content not only expands organic reach but also establishes the brand as an authoritative expert in its field.

The Results – A Strong & Recognisable Brand in the Turbocharger Market

The collaboration with AMW Media resulted in the creation of a powerful and recognisable brand that stands out in Poland’s turbocharger market. By combining market analysis, strategic branding, a modern and effective website, and impactful social media management, Turbo Snail has strengthened its position and attracted new customers.
