Turbo Snail is a Polish wholesaler specialising in the sale of new, used and reconditioned turbochargers. The company needed to establish a strong brand presence in Poland's competitive automotive market. Their existing brand identity lacked differentiation — there was nothing to set them apart from countless other turbocharger suppliers.
The company had no distinctive visual identity, no strategic positioning, and no website that could effectively convert visitors into customers. In a market dominated by established players, Turbo Snail needed a comprehensive transformation that would make them memorable, trustworthy and easy to find online.

The project, led by Matt at AMW Media, took a comprehensive approach encompassing business analysis, rebranding, website design, UX/UI optimisation and social media management — all tailored to automotive industry marketing.
The first step was understanding business objectives and conducting an in-depth analysis of the turbocharger market in Poland. Together with the business owner, key competitors were identified and the needs of car workshops and mechanics — Turbo Snail's main customers — were assessed. A brand strategy was developed to differentiate the company through a fresh, modern approach combined with a casual, friendly tone of communication.
As part of the rebranding, Matt created a unique visual identity unlike anything previously seen in automotive branding. The centrepiece was a dynamic snail hero character symbolising speed and reliability, along with supporting characters: Speedy Snail for new turbochargers, Old Snail for used ones, Mechanic Snail for reconditioned units, and Einstein Snail for blog content. All were hand-drawn and vectorised for consistency. The distinctive colour palette — pink, blue and green — gave the brand a modern, slightly controversial yet approachable character in the predominantly male-driven automotive industry.
The website was crafted in flat design style, prioritising simplicity and functionality with interactive snail elements guiding users throughout. The structure includes easily accessible contact information, clear turbocharger categories, a detailed purchase process guide and customer reviews. Comprehensive on-site SEO was implemented along with a blog featuring expert knowledge on turbochargers.

With the strategy defined, we moved into creative development. Matt hand-drew a cast of snail characters, each representing a product category: Speedy Snail for new turbochargers, Old Snail for used units, Mechanic Snail for reconditioned models, and Einstein Snail for blog content. Every character was vectorised for consistency across all touchpoints. The colour palette — pink, blue, and green — was deliberately bold, giving the brand a modern, slightly provocative edge in the predominantly male-driven automotive industry.

Social media profiles were set up and integrated with the website, extending the brand's distinctive visual identity across every channel.
The final handover included complete brand guidelines, all vector assets, and training on content management and social media posting to ensure the Turbo Snail team could maintain momentum independently.

The collaboration resulted in the creation of a powerful and recognisable brand that truly stands out in Poland's turbocharger market. By combining thorough market analysis, strategic branding, a modern and effective website, and impactful social media management, Turbo Snail has strengthened its market position and attracted a wave of new customers.
The distinctive visual identity — particularly the snail characters and bold colour choices — made Turbo Snail instantly recognisable in an industry where most brands look the same. The website's intuitive design and optimised purchase journey led to a significant increase in conversions, while the blog and SEO strategy steadily grew organic visibility.

Turbo Snail proved that bold, character-driven branding works even in industries that typically play it safe. The pest control and facilities management sector is full of generic logos, stock imagery, and forgettable names. By leaning into a memorable mascot and vibrant identity, Turbo Snail achieved instant recognition that competitors with ten times the budget couldn't match.
This project changed our perspective on "appropriate" branding. We used to temper bold ideas for traditional industries, assuming clients wouldn't go for it. Turbo Snail showed us that the more conservative the industry, the bigger the opportunity to stand out. We now actively push clients in crowded markets toward distinctive, personality-led brands.
If you operate in a "boring" industry, that's your biggest advantage. While your competitors blend into a sea of blue logos and handshake stock photos, a distinctive brand identity will make you the one people remember. Don't be afraid to have personality — your customers are human beings, and human beings remember characters, not corporations.
